First, make the marinade with a combination of sugar, celery, wine vinegar, basil and celery salt. You can also add chili. Next, make 1/4-inch slices of different spanish cheeses.
If you can’t find Manchego, Cabrales or Idiazabal cheese, a good combination would be mozzarella cheese, Gouda and cream cheese. Some sharp cheddar would be delicious as well. Arrange the cheeses in a ring in a simultaneous order.
Add your olives in the center and drizzle the marinade on top. Let it sit for around an hour to get the marinade to seep. Serve and enjoy, then file this away among simple tapas recipes you can do on occasions.
2. Chicken Empanadas
Delicious Spanish tapas are never complete without some easy chicken empanadas. This rich, tasty tapas recipe is wholesome and filling, which your friends will love.
Buy some empanada wrappers at the supermarket or online. Many of these are flat, disk-shaped dough in pack of 10’s. Thaw them if frozen.
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F and combine chicken, cheese, chiles, bell pepper, yogurt and some spices. Some spices we recommend include salt, pepper, paprika, cumin, and some hot sauce. Mix well.
Spoon about 2 tbsp of mix into the empanada. Make sure to leave ¼-inch on the edges to close the product. Once you finish spooning, brush egg wash on the edges and close the disk – making a semi-circle.
Crimp the edges and bake for 12 – 15 minutes until golden. Let it cool and enjoy!
3. Shrimp And Chorizo Bites
Shrimp and chorizo bites are one of those delicious easy tapas recipes you can try at home. Its legit Spanish flavors of smoky-sweetness are to die for. How do you make this recipe for your amigos?
Combine 500 grams of peeled, deveined shrimp with herbs and spices. Depending on your taste, you can combine garlic, oregano, a spritz of lime, some olive oil and a spritz of Sherry.
Skewer your shrimps with your 1/4-inch thick chorizos with a toothpick. Once you make many bites, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Pan sear your tapas for 3 minutes or until the shrimp cooks through and the chorizo is light brown.
